Copays, deductibles and coinsurance may be paid through the portal.  Our electronic record allows patients to access their balances and pay via their own login.  They may use a credit or debit card for payment and may choose to keep the card on file.  A saved card only has the last 4 digits visible and the card is actually saved as a token in the system rather than an actual credit card #.

Payments made via the portal will be posted to your card at the time of the transaction however it may take up to 7 days for the payment to be recorded in your Valant account.

Patients are responsible for the patient fees including any fees that are not paid by your medical insurance, including any copays, co-insurance, deductibles. and any other uncovered fees.

Patients are responsible for being aware of the covered services by their health plan and are also responsible for obtaining any necessary referrals or authorizations prior to their first visit.

Patients are responsible for any fees that result from appointments that are not kept or canceled with less than one business days notice. A fee of $50 will be charged in these instances.

Copays must be paid at the time of service.

Patients are responsible for the cost of the visit should they neglect to inform Stepping Stones Psychiatry, LLC that their insurance has changed, and it is past the timely filing limit.
